The Bookshelf Project #17

This week's pictures of bookshelves are from Thomas, a fellow who writes one of the most insightful book reviews. Check out his blog here.

I love his collection, especially his classics! I'm particularly envious of his Powell's A Dance to the Music of Time books. And I could see that he'll be needing more bookshelves soon!

What do you think of his bookshelves, dear reader?

Great shelves, but they'll soon be hidden by the unshelved books. So many books, so little space . . .

Hi, Charlie! Don't we all have the same problem? Hehehe.

This makes me wonder why anyone would ever want a kindle. Yes, I know he's run short on space, but there is something so lovely about all those piles of books.

Hehehe! Perhaps that's why people would want the Kindle! They want to save on the space.

Yay. Thanks for including me Peter. For those that are interested the teapot and such are actually Wedgwood Basalt pieces my husband found on eBay.

Oh, and Amen on Amber's Kindle comment. I have less than zero interest in ever owning one of those.

Hi, Thomas! Your bookshelves are just so wonderful! I am green with envy at your books.

I think he can squeeze in a few more volumes on the fireplace between the pots...!

Hi, Logan! Haha! Yes, he does can!

I love seeing the piles of books in front of the shelves! A true sign of the ardent reader.

Great shelves, great room. I'd be very happy helping to reshelve and browse these books :)

I also love that I am not the only person to have piles like that..I think of them as the 'almost shelved'.

Gorgeous shelves, and beautiful piles - to me the sign of a real reader is the piles not the shelves. And piles that fall over are even better! Then you get to sort thru them and move some up or down the pile.

This is such a great feature. I love that you link us to the blog, and not just the shelf. Another interesting blog I might never have found. Thanks Peter.
