The Bookshelf Project #8

This week's bookshelves are from a fellow blogger, Professor B. Worm.

These are from his Library of America Collection.
The books are spotless, don't you think?

He does love his Lehane, his Michener, and his classics.

I can see that he has a hardback of Carlos Ruiz Zafon's latest novel, The Angel's Game. I've been holding off buying this novel since most of the copies sold in our bookstores are trade paperback editions. I finally saw a hardback today and bought it immediately. I can't wait to read it.

What do you think of Professor B. Worm's bookshelves, dear reader?

Hello Peter, thank you for stopping by. I see you are viewing my dear friend Charlie's bookshelves. He does have quite an eclectic library but that is what makes his own writing so good.

Wow... Charlie's library is so crisp. Big fan.

Thanks, Peter, for featuring my shelves! A couple of comments:

My copy of Michener's The Source was sent to me in 1967 while I was in Vietnam. I dragged it all over the place with me, and each time I opened it it was thicker, thanks to the jungle humidity. It looks like it's ready for the trash, but it has great sentimental value to me.

As far as Zafon's The Angel's Game, I was delighted by it. My rather tongue-in-cheek review is here:

@St Jude: Thanks for dropping by as well. I really enjoy reading Charlie's entries.

@Michael: It is!

@Charlie: Thanks for providing me the link to your review of The Angel's Game.

@Viviene: I had the same reaction myself when I saw Charlie's shelves!

Wow! Those bookshelves are so neat and so organized. The American Collection looks pretty enough to be in a library! My bookshelves are slinking away in embarrassment... *L*

Hello, Alexia! I know! I can totally relate about how you describe your bookshelves.

I like the professor's even and spotless shelves. As for my bookshelves.... you don't want to see them till I've organized them, someday....

Hi Harvee! I would love to see your bookshelves even though they're not organized.

Hello!

I am new to your blog, but it seems rather interestong. I like Proffesor B. Worms bookshelves. Do you allow submission of any bookselves? Right now I am in the process of moving out on my own, but I do have a degree in Lit. so once I get my books unpacked, it will be pretty impressive.

Just wondering,
LA
