The bookshelf project #33

This week's pictures of bookshelves are from a fellow blogger Kaz at Books Anonymous. Aside from blogging about books, Kaz is also a writer, singer, and artist! Let's check out her fascinating bookshelves, shall we?

I just love the matching bookcases that Kaz has in her living area. Apparently, these are just a fraction of her books! (Some of her books are still in storage. Gasp!) Kaz has a very big collection of art books in her shelves.

I think that this room is too cool for words, no? If I had this living room, I wouldn't even bother turning on the TV. :-)

Kaz has two interesting characters amid her shelves which she calls the Book Bears. Below are Guz and Wilbur nestled at the tail end of the kids lit section.

Of course, I am green with envy at these shelves. I certainly could use that much space in my room. How about you, dear reader? What do you think of Kaz's bookshelves?

She has Four Horses for Tishtry! I read that when I was young.

Howdy! And to you, Kaz. I love that open, airy look. Is this your old place, or the one you just moved into?

Hello, Jeane! And Kaz has lots of vintage editions of children's books!

Hi, Jack! I love that too!

Hi guys!

Jack - this is the old place. Peter, I'll have to send you updated pics now...the book cases have been split into two different spots due to us moving into a much smaller place. There is, however, room on both walls where the books now reside, room for extra bookcases, if I go back to the store that sells them and buy more of the same style in a narrower width... Then, perhaps, I can pull some of the others out of storage. But, I think we've still managed light and airy - my partner and I both love to have space around us.

Jeane - hi - I love 'Four Horses for Tishtry.' It's one I stumbled across as an adult though - somehow missed it when I was a kid.

I got distracted from looking at the book bears by those hardcover Rumer Godden books. Wonderful shelves, and an even more wonderful collection!!

Hello, Stepford Mum! Now I have to Google Rumer Godden.

I was lucky enough to find The Greengage Summer on the sale table at Fully Booked for P50. Trade paperback, but still rather hard to find. Since it's a rather obscure British children's author, I'm not sure if they carry all the titles. And the other bookstores here likely won't have any Godden books at all.

Hello again, Stepford Mum! Thanks for the info about this author! Will definitely be on the hunt for these.
